Oh Threadless - Size me up
I love threadless, I really do. But today they ran a impromptu Twitter contest where followers had to tweet their shirt size at threadless to be entered to win.
It is pretty clear from their branding that women aren’t their target market, but I do feel they are missing a sensitivity chip with this contest.
Size S/M women might be comfortable tweeting their size, but how about L, XL or XXL? Though many women are proud of their size, twice as many women are not.
Asking women to tweet their size for a contest is almost as awkward as asking them to tweet their weight.
